Three of the original core members of the band d.i.g (directions in groove) make up this exciting group. Tim Rollinson, Alex Hewetson and Rick Robertson have been writing and performing together for over 25 years. With a string of albums and hits such as “The Favourite”, “Re-Invent Yourself” and “Dreamtime” catapulting the band into international recognition and a decade of touring, the boys have a lot of experience under their belts. They are joined by the enormous talent of drummer Ian Mussington, originally from the UK, where he spent many years touring and performing with likes of Courtney Pine, Paul Weller and Lonnie Liston Smith.

“The Specialists” were formed in 2016 to perform original tunes composed by the members and to have some fun playing together.

Vocalist and upcoming new talent Tayanita Robertson joins the band on Vocals and Keyboards. Tayanita already has a list of credits to her name performing regularly with her Dad, Rick, at the Raquet Bar and recently on Norfolk Island for the restaurant Norfolk Blue. She has the part of Fagan in the musical Oliver soon to be performed at Narrabeen Sports High School.
