The Rick Robertson Trio is at Palmer & Co every Saturday and every second Friday. It’s a great prohibition style bar with amazing cocktails. We play live from 8 on a Friday and 9pm on a Saturday night. Stuart Hunter plays Hammond oragan and Ian Mussington is on Drums. We play a range of material from funky Jazz to Soul, Rock & Roll and classic Pop. Perfect if ypou want to have a boogie.

4 weeks on Norfolk Island over Xmas and NY. 26 degrees most days and only a few days of clouds. Perfect. I got to swim a lot and read 4 books including the Andre Agassi Autobiography “Open”. Loved it. Tayanita and I played a few gigs as well. The Jolly Roger is a fabulous new venue run by Matti Zarb.

Two and a half weeks on Norfolk Island over Xmas never hurt anyone. I performed with Pendo and Tayanita on NYE at the wonderful Norfolk Blue Restaurant to a full house of Tourists and Locals. The Sunday Session the week following was lots of fun too.

Back in Sydney for 2016. The Rick Robertson trio is back at Castle Hill RSL for Sunday afternoons and a few early mornings at the brand new Barangaroo tower 2 opening. Very slick place with choice of at least a dozen food outlets in the foyer. Good coffee too. 

This week the Trio was at the Art Gallery of NSW on Tuesday night followed by the usual weekly stint at the 505 with the Funk crew which included Stuart Hunter. I’m out in the harbour tonight and then we’re doing Friday at Hemmespheres where I DJ and play Saxophone.

1 – 4 pm today at the Castle Hill RSL with my favourite guitarist Tim Rollinson and young bassist Danny Stitt. Hopefully the weather stays fine. We’ll be doing a bunch of Jazz standards and a few originals to keep us on our toes.
